Job description
Position Responsibilities:
Valuation Production Support
- Support the actuarial production process for IFRS17 and local reporting basis.
- Perform model runs, result validation, reconciliations, and production controls to ensure accurate and timely reporting deliverables.
- Investigate model or production issues and support timely resolution of identified findings.
- Support quarterly and annual actuarial reporting deliverables by providing model outputs and analysis.
New Product Implementation
- Support implementation of new products into the actuarial valuation system and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
- Perform testing and validation of new product modelling prior to production deployment.
- Work closely with Pricing, and Valuation teams to understand product specifications and modelling requirements.
- Assist in maintaining documentation related to product implementation and model configuration.
Model Change Management (MCM)
- Support the implementation and governance of model changes in accordance with Model Change Management requirements.
- Prepare testing, validation, and impact analysis for model enhancements and assumption changes.
- Maintain model change documentation, evidence, and approval records.
- Participate in model governance activities and support audit and review requests.
System Enhancement & UAT
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for valuation system enhancements and process improvements.
- Develop test scenarios, execute test cases, and document testing results.
- Coordinate with IT, system vendors, VSSC, and business stakeholders on defect resolution and implementation activities.
Valuation Modelling Projects
- Support actuarial modelling initiatives including:
- Reinsurance treaty modelling.
- IFRS17 basis changes.
- Regional and Group-driven projects.
- Valuation system enhancement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree, math/statistics/actuarial background is preferable, with minimum 3 years experiences in actuarial field
- In progress to be qualified as fellow of an actuarial organization (e.g. PAI, SOA, IAAust, IA)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Good understanding of actuarial valuation principles and insurance products
- Demonstrate a good communication with other team
- Fluent in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with actuarial modelling software such as AXIS, Prophet, MG-ALFA, or similar is preferred.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, Python, or other analytical tools is an advantage.
