Application Development & Support Senior Analyst

Role Statement:

The Senior RPA, Automation & AI Analyst is a senior technical specialist within the ERP Tech Factory's Automation Factory pillar, accountable for driving process automation and operational efficiency across the global enterprise. This role leads the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable Robotic Process Automation (RPA), broader automation solutions, and AI-powered tools that eliminate manual effort, reduce error rates, and accelerate business process performance.
Acting as the technical lead for automation and AI initiatives, this role owns architectural decisions, defines development standards and reusable frameworks, and ensures solutions progress from proof-of-concept through to globally standardised, production-grade deployments. The Senior Analyst mentors junior team members, leads technical reviews, and actively partners with ERP Second Level Support, Third-Level Support Engineers, and Software Development/Platform Engineers to ensure automation solutions are aligned with platform architecture and business priorities.
As a senior contributor to the ERP leadership ecosystem, this role is expected to proactively identify and prioritise automation and AI opportunities, build compelling business cases, and drive measurable outcomes in the context of the organisation's Run, Enhance, and Converge operating model.

Key Duties

Automation & AI Solution Design & Delivery
•    Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of complex RPA, automation, and AI-powered solutions across business functions and ERP/enterprise platforms.
•    Own architectural decisions for automation and AI solutions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with enterprise technology standards.
•    Drive adoption of automation and AI solutions across business functions, partnering with stakeholders to embed tools within operational workflows.
•    Manage the full automation and AI solution lifecycle from ideation and requirements gathering through build, testing, deployment, and post-launch optimisation.
•    Evaluate and recommend appropriate automation and AI platforms, tools, and technologies (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate, WePath, GenAI tooling) to address business requirements.

Scalable Asset Development & Governance
•    Build and maintain a library of reusable automation components, AI solution assets, and standardised development templates that accelerate delivery across the team.
•    Define, document, and enforce development standards, coding best practices, and reusable frameworks for the Automation Factory.
•    Ensure all automation and AI solutions are governed through appropriate version control, documentation, and release management practices, including CI/CD pipeline integration and ALM tooling.
•    Conduct technical reviews and quality assurance of automation and AI solutions developed by junior team members, ensuring adherence to standards and design integrity.
•    Monitor deployed automation and AI solutions for performance, reliability, and error rates; lead root-cause analysis and remediation for failures.

Opportunity Identification & Prioritisation
•    Identify and prioritise automation and AI use cases by systematically analysing process inefficiencies, manual workload data, error rates, and business impact across functions.
•    Lead the development of business cases for automation and AI investments, including effort estimates, ROI projections, and risk assessments to support budget allocation decisions.
•    Maintain and continuously evolve the automation and AI opportunity pipeline, ensuring prioritisation aligns with strategic business objectives and delivery capacity.
•    Validate assumptions and refine opportunity scoping through structured discovery sessions with process owners and operational stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement & Mentoring
•    Partner with ERP Second Level Support, Third-Level Support Engineers, and Software Development/Platform Engineers to ensure automation solutions are technically integrated and operationally supported.
•    Act as the primary technical point of contact for automation and AI topics with ERP Product Owners, Product Specialists, and business stakeholders.
•    Mentor and coach junior RPA, Automation & AI Analysts, providing technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and supporting their professional development.
•    Lead technical design and review sessions, coordinating input from cross-functional engineering and business teams.
•    Communicate solution delivery progress, issues, and outcomes to the ERP Tech Factory Lead and relevant stakeholders in a clear, concise, and timely manner.

Qualification and Experience

Required
•    5–7 years of combined hands-on experience in RPA (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate, WePath), process automation, and/or AI tool development in an enterprise environment.
•    Proven track record of automating end-to-end business processes, including integration with ERP and enterprise platforms.
•    Demonstrated ability to take automation and AI solutions from proof-of-concept through to globally standardised, production-grade deployment.
•    Strong expertise in RPA, automation tool development, and AI solution integration, including prompt engineering and AI-powered workflow design.
•    Deep understanding of software development and release practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
•    Experience in data modeling, architecting, and documenting automation solutions.
•    Ensure coding methodologies and best practices are followed across all automation development activities.
•    Strong capability to translate complex business processes and requirements into automation and AI-ready technical specifications and solutions.
•    Solution ownership mindset with full accountability for automation lifecycle management, including performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
•    Experience mentoring or technically leading junior team members, with strong communication and knowledge-transfer skills.
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and drive outcomes in a complex, global organisation.

Preferred
•    Experience with Oracle EBS or similar large-scale ERP platforms, including integration touchpoints relevant to automation design.
•    Familiarity with ServiceNow and/or Jira Cloud for service management, incident tracking, and agile delivery management.
•    Background in complex, multi-region manufacturing or industrial organisations.
•    Exposure to Generative AI tools and frameworks relevant to enterprise automation and operational productivity use cases.
•    Relevant professional certifications in RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath Certified Professional, Microsoft Power Automate certifications) or AI tooling.
