Position Responsibilities:

 

Fabrication Process Improvement & Analytics. Fabrication interns support data-driven process improvement across manufacturing operations that produce aerospace detail parts and assemblies. Interns may analyze production performance, identify bottlenecks and waste, support continuous-improvement projects, develop dashboards or visual management tools, and work with manufacturing teams to improve safety, quality, cost, delivery, and flow.

 

Potential internship assignments may include:

• Analyze fabrication process data, throughput, cycle time, quality, and schedule performance
• Support Lean, continuous-improvement, and structured problem-solving projects
• Develop dashboards, visualizations, and performance metrics
• Partner with operations, engineering, quality, and support teams to implement improvements

These positions are expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Wichita, KS.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree program
• Ability to work full-time during Summer 2027

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Passion for the aerospace industry and interest and enthusiasm for a career at Boeing
• Academic excellence (GPA of 3.0 or higher)
• Previous related internship or work experience and/or involvement with student or civic organizations
• Majoring in one of the following: Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Statistics, or other related fields
• The ability to relocate and work onsite
