Cost Analyst
Location: Peterborough
Contract: Full Time/Permanent

Here within Anglian Water, we collaborate with a number of alliance partners to provide the best water and water recycling services across the region by maintaining our existing assets and undertaking new projects to safeguard future water supplies.
Playing a key part in our drive to bring environmental and social prosperity to the region we serve through our commitment to Love Every Drop is our Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Alliance. Comprising of Anglian Water, MGroup, Barhale and Kier, the IOS Alliance work together to concentrate on solutions across the water recycling and clean water asset base.
The IOS alliance works across multiple disciplines including Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation. Incorporating new construction, replacement or repair. Spanning the entirety of Anglian Waters asset base.
To ensure water and water recycling projects area are managed successfully from inception to completion, ensuring all required standards, regulations, commercial affordability targets and time frames are met, we are looking for a Project Engineer to join the team who will be prepared to travel within the East Anglia area.
What you will be doing as our Cost Analyst
The Cost Analyst is required to facilitate the efficient and effective analysis of cost and asset data in order to provide Cost Capture information for all Capitalised projects delivered by Integrated Operations Solutions (IOS).
This information collected and processed is essential to Anglian Water for future Capital cost modelling and business planning for future AMP Business plans. The data therefore must be accurate, reliable and trusted.
Responsibilities:
Manage all Cost Capture data in a timely and accurate manner for variously complex Capital schemes
Coach and liaise with, the Delivery and Commercial Teams to support the Cost Capture process, ensuring the timely and accurate capture of information
Be the expert user of corporate data systems such as Asset+
Analyse, report, and action data entry performance on corporate systems. Produce standard periodic performance reports
Adhere to governance, processes, and procedures
Key Experiences/Skills & qualifications:
GCSE level -minimum English & Maths
Strong organisational and administration abilities
Computer Literate in Microsoft Office Applications
Experience of Anglian Water IT systems particularly Asset+, M2i and SAP (desirable)
Excellent data handling skills, use of corporate Web database system and spread sheets
Ability to understand and interpret financial and accounting data
Coaching and providing guidance. Ability to explain the granular requirements of Cost Capture (desirable)
Able to build good working relationships with stakeholders and data providers
Excellent data handling and evaluations skills
Ability to work to tight deadlines
