Cyber Security Analyst

Location: Hyderabad, India Work Arrangement: On-Site

About the Role

As a Cyber Security Analyst at Hyland, you will play a critical role in protecting enterprise systems by monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will work with modern security technologies, AI-driven security capabilities, automation platforms, and advanced threat detection solutions to strengthen the organization's overall security posture. This role is ideal for a passionate, detail-oriented security professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is eager to grow alongside an experienced global cybersecurity team.

Your Role Responsibilities – Here's What You'll Do

  • Monitor and investigate security alerts, suspicious activities, and threats across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid enterprise environments; respond to and manage security incidents following established Incident Response (IR) procedures
  • Perform threat hunting, log analysis, and security investigations using industry-standard security tools; leverage AI-powered security technologies to identify anomalies, emerging threats, and operational risks
  • Support and administer security technologies including SIEM platforms (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar), EDR/XDR Platforms, Security Monitoring Tools, Security Posture Management Solutions, and Threat Intelligence Platforms
  • Assist in developing and improving detection use cases, response playbooks, automation workflows, and security documentation to strengthen the organization's overall security posture
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, engineering, and business teams to improve security controls and processes; evaluate emerging security and AI technologies and provide recommendations to enhance security capabilities
  • Communicate security findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders; contribute to a proactive, security-first culture through continuous learning and knowledge sharing

Role Essentials – What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience; minimum 4+ years of experience in Security Operations Center (SOC), Incident Response, Cyber Security Operations, or Threat Analysis
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, networking concepts, and security best practices; experience supporting Windows and Linux/Unix environments
  • Hands-on experience with one or more SIEM platforms (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, or similar)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an investigative mindset; effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework; ability to detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments

What We'd Like to See – Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Threat Hunting, Detection Engineering, and Security Automation & Orchestration (SOAR)
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted security operations and AI-driven detection capabilities
  • Experience with EDR/XDR technologies, Threat Intelligence platforms, and Cloud Security (Azure, AWS, GCP)
