Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), headquartered in Bengaluru with a satellite office in Pune, is the largest R&D center for Mercedes-Benz Group AG outside of Germany. Role – Data Engineer – Supply Chain Digitalization

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, bottlenecks, risks and improvement opportunities across supply chain processes

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational challenges into analytical use cases and data-driven solutions

• Design and develop dashboards, KPIs and visualization solutions to enable actionable business insights

• Partner with product owners, data engineers and development teams to ensure scalable implementation of analytical solutions

• Drive adoption of predictive and prescriptive analytics approaches to support autonomous planning and digital transformation initiatives

 

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• 0-3 years of professional experience in Analytics, Data Science, Operations Research, Supply Chain Analytics or Digital Transformation

• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL

• Strong understanding of data modelling, data engineering concepts and large-scale data analysis

• Experience with analytics and visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Plotly or similar tools

• Experience working with cloud-based analytical platforms such as Azure, Databricks, Snowflake or equivalent technologies

• Good understanding of machine learning concepts and predictive analytics methodologies,  and simulation techniques

• Understanding of data analytics, process mining, and decision intelligence concepts.

• Knowledge of supply chain processes including planning, logistics, inventory management or manufacturing operations

• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving capability

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present analytical insights to technical and business stakeholders

• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
