And we Commit to doing things the right way, growing with purpose, and leading kidney care with innovation and compassion.

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a strategic and innovative Data & AI Business Partner to support our Care Enablement (CE) business, the MedTech segment responsible for designing, engineering, manufacturing, and delivering innovative dialysis products, digital technologies, and care solutions that improve patient outcomes worldwide.

In this highly visible role, you will serve as the primary liaison between business leaders and Data & AI teams, helping to identify, prioritise, and deliver data-driven and AI-enabled solutions that accelerate innovation, enhance product performance, optimise operational processes, and improve customer and patient experiences.

Working across product management, R&D, engineering, manufacturing, quality, regulatory affairs, supply chain, commercial teams, and digital product organisations, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the Data & AI roadmap for the Care Enablement business.

This is a full-time, hybrid/remote position with some overseas travel from time to time.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary Data & AI Business Partner for the Care Enablement organisation, aligning data and AI initiatives with strategic business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across product management, research and development, engineering, manufacturing, quality, regulatory affairs, supply chain, commercial operations, and digital product teams.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritise opportunities where data, analytics, and AI can create measurable business value.
  • Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps that drive innovation, operational excellence, and customer-focused outcomes.
  • Champion the use of advanced analytics and AI to improve product development, engineering productivity, predictive quality, connected device performance, customer support, and manufacturing operations.
  • Partner with technical and business teams to translate complex business challenges into scalable technology solutions.
  • Support the adoption of AI and data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to build business cases, define success metrics, and track value realisation for strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory, compliance, quality, and governance requirements within a highly regulated medical technology environment.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and serve as a trusted advisor on emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams and, where applicable, provide direct supervision and development support for IT and Data & AI team members.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in Data, Analytics, AI, Digital Transformation, Business Partnership, or a related field.
  • Ideally 5+ years of leadership or senior management experience with responsibility for leading high-performing teams.
  • Experience working within medical technology, life sciences, engineering, manufacturing, digital health, or other regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM), product development processes, engineering operations, manufacturing environments, and commercialisation activities.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements, and product traceability within regulated product environments.
  • Experience working with connected products, IoT ecosystems, device-generated data, digital health platforms, or software-enabled technologies.
  • Demonstrated success identifying and implementing AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, or data-driven solutions that deliver business value.
  • Strong ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex concepts into practical, measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams in a global organisation.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional business and customer outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
