Koniag Tech and Infrastructure Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Database Administrator to support KTIS and our government customer in Mechanicburg, PA.

Roles and Responsibilities:
 Design and implement databases to meet application requirements.
Develop and implement database objects, such as stored procedures, functions and triggers.
Create and maintain data models to ensure data consistency and integrity.
Implement database security measures, such as authentication, authorization and access controls ensuring compliance.
Optimize database performance, including indexing, caching and query optimization.
Maintain up-to-date documentation of database design, development and implementation to include entity-relationship diagrams and data flow diagrams.
Develop and execute database test plans, including unit testing, integration testing and performance testing.
Collaborate with application developers to ensure database designs meet application requirements.
Develop and implement backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
 Migrate, import, and manage data.
Develop test plans and coordinate database testing.
 Manage database instances, including creation, configuration and deletion.
Identify and leverage the enterprise-wide version control system.
 Automate builds, testing, and deployments within CI/CD pipelines while enforcing security and quality standards including version control.
Identify, define, or modify interfaces with other systems/applications, ensuring agreements are formally documented with the interfacing system/application.
 Support production outages, as required
 Provide support to the development of the release packages
Create and update work items in the designated tool
Participate in internal review/change boards
Conduct quality audits of products, perform causative research on errors, and provide corrective action.
Requirements:
Technical knowledge in Navy or DoD supply processes and interfaces.
Minimum of 2 years of college/technical knowledge and 3 years of work experience in modern database design and development.
Minimum 2 years of college/technical knowledge and 3 years of work experience with Azure
DevOps, Microsoft O365, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Visio and Outlook applications.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Agile concepts and principles and experience participating in Agile teams.
Minimum of 3 years of knowledge and experience in one or more of the following
SQL Server and other popular DBMS like PostgreSQ
Use of SQL for data manipulation, querying, and management
Database optimization to include indexing, query optimization and hardware configurations
Backup and recovery procedures to protect data integrity
Implementing database security policies, including encryption, access controls, and auditing
Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation tasks
Migrate, import, and manage data
Develop test plans and coordinate testing
Data Modeling
 At least one year of experience with:
Cloud-native architectures
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Configuration as Code (CaC)
Platform as a Service (PaaS)
 Strong analytical skills to analyze database performance and identify bottlenecks.
 Meticulous attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders and technical teams.
The ability to adapt to new technologies and database platforms.
