Database Engineer MYSQL .

<p dir="ltr">We are looking for an outstanding&nbsp;Database Engineer&nbsp;with&nbsp;deep knowledge of and experience with a variety of relational and non-relational database technologies in a highly scalable environment. The ideal candidate should demonstrate superb technical competency in delivering mission-critical database platforms and services while ensuring the highest levels of scalability, availability, performance, and security.</p><p dir="ltr"><br></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li dir="ltr">Design, implement and manage database infrastructure on-premises and in the cloud.</li><li dir="ltr">Collaborate with developers, network/system engineers, vendors, and support staff in an open and creative environment.</li><li dir="ltr">Analyze procedures to control the access and allocation of data&nbsp;</li><li dir="ltr">Oversee real-time business metric aggregation, data warehousing and querying, schema and data management, and related duties&nbsp;</li><li dir="ltr">Maintain security controls in supported databases&nbsp;</li><li dir="ltr">Establish relationships with internal customers and team members to drive collaboration.</li><li dir="ltr">Primary owner of 24x7 on-call external DB support team</li><li dir="ltr">Database and SQL tuning, including reduction in I/Os, views and triggers.</li><li dir="ltr">Creating indexes where required while taking a look at the fill factor for existing ones.</li></ul><p dir="ltr"><br></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Skills And Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li dir="ltr">Proven experience building and supporting highly available database platforms and services at scale in a fast-paced environment.</li><li dir="ltr">Proficient in the following database technologies, MySQL, MongoDB, HBase</li><li dir="ltr">Experience in performance tuning and optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.</li><li dir="ltr">Proficient at scripting in at least one common scripting language.</li><li dir="ltr">Experience supporting managed database solutions (AWS RDS, Dynamo DB, AWS Document DB, Firestore).</li><li dir="ltr">Experience building/managing database platforms through Infrastructure as Code (IaC).</li><li dir="ltr">Strong working knowledge of HA/DR best practice architecture.</li><li dir="ltr">Strong documentation/training/communication skills.</li></ul><p dir="ltr"><br></p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Optional Skills And Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li dir="ltr">Automation using Python , Shell scripts and PowerShell</li><li dir="ltr">Automation using Chef/Puppet would be a plus</li><li dir="ltr">Experience with config management systems&nbsp;</li><li dir="ltr">Strong analytical and problem solving skills</li><li dir="ltr">Experience operating under SOX/PCI/PII governance</li><li dir="ltr">Experience with Cassandra, Redis and/or Elastic Cache.</li><li>Having 3 years of experience.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Knowledge of Installation, configurations and maintenance of Mysql database.<br>Experience in Provisioning MySQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations.<br>Handle common database process, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.<br>Set up monitoring / alarming for production DB environments.<br>Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options.<br>Expertise in designing and maintaining MySQL .<br>Experience in Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, cluster management, Data durability, security, networking, and system crash analysis.<br>Experience in setting up and operating Highly Available MySQL.<br>Knowledge of shell scripting.<br>Experience in working with Percona and innoDB engine.</p><p><br></p><p>Qualifications and Education Requirements:-</p><p>&nbsp;BE, B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA.</p>
