Location: Poland | Reports to: Team Leader Data & AI | Work Arrangement: Remote | Contract type: Full-time | Visa Requirements: Valid Visa for Poland | Language Requirements: Fluent/professional Polish and English, written and verbal 

 

As our new Data Engineer - AWS, you will design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms, pipelines, and data warehouses on AWS to support analytics, AI, and business-critical initiatives. You will transform business requirements into robust technical solutions, integrate data from multiple sources, and provide expert guidance on data architecture and engineering best practices. Working closely with clients and cross-functional teams, you will deliver high-quality data solutions while leveraging modern AWS services and emerging technologies, including Generative AI. 

 

Key responsibilities 

• Develop and maintain data warehouses and data platforms 
• Design, build, and optimize ETL processes, integrating data from multiple sources 
• Analyze data-related challenges and recommend the most effective technical solutions 
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across data environments 
• Estimate the effort required to deliver projects based on statements of work 
• Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications 
• Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to successfully deliver project objectives 

 

What we need to see from you

• Professional experience in data or cloud-focused role, such as Data Engineer, ML Engineer, Python Developer, or Cloud Engineer 
• Strong programming and data management skills, including Python (e.g., pandas, NumPy, boto3) and SQL 
• Hands-on experience designing and building data solutions using Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, and Amazon Redshift 
• Interest or practical experience in Generative AI, including Amazon Bedrock, Large Language Models (LLMs), and cloud-based AI solutions 
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work directly with clients, present solutions clearly, and take ownership of deliverables 
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new cloud platforms, tools, and emerging technologies, with experience in Amazon SageMaker, Apache Spark, or Machine Learning workflows considered an advantage 
• Familiarity with AI Agents, autonomous workflows, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), LangChain, LlamaIndex, and AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Developer, or AWS Certified Data Engineer) is a plus
