Data Engineer
Job Description
We're looking for a Data Engineer (HR Support) who enjoys solving complex data problems and turning fragmented, inconsistent datasets into reliable business insights.
In this role, you'll partner with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders across multiple countries to improve data quality, support system integrations and migrations, and build scalable solutions that enable better decision-making. You'll work hands-on with Databricks, Spark, SQL, and Python while acting as a trusted advisor to non-technical stakeholders.
This is not a reporting-focused role. We're looking for someone who can combine strong technical expertise with a consultative mindset, challenge data assumptions, identify root causes of data issues, and propose practical solutions that drive business value.
You'll collaborate closely with the Group HR Controller, country HR Heads, project teams, and multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
Qualifications
Must have:
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark in production environments
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python for processing, transforming, and analyzing large-scale datasets
- Experience working with complex, messy, incomplete, or inconsistent data, identifying issues and driving data quality improvements
- Ability to understand business processes and translate business requirements into scalable data solutions
- Experience participating in data migration, integration, or transformation projects
- Practical experience designing and implementing data validation, monitoring, governance, and quality control mechanisms
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate technical findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences
- Experience creating clear documentation, including data mappings, business rules, data dictionaries, and process documentation
- Strong analytical thinking combined with attention to detail and a high standard for data accuracy
- Understanding of GDPR and data privacy principles
- Fluent Polish and English (C1+)
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools and large language models (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to enhance productivity, accelerate development, and solve complex problems.
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and apply them responsibly within professional workflows.
Nice to have:
- Practical experience with a global HRIS (HR Information System)
- Experience building data solutions in cloud-based platforms
- Experience creating Power BI dashboards and semantic models
- Experience working in international or multi-country environments
- Knowledge of process mining, process improvement, or business process optimization
