The Data Management & Governance Analyst III can work in person, remote, or in a hybrid environment in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:  

  • Perform data profiling and analysis for assigned data domains to identify data quality issues, trends, and potential root causes 
  • Collaborate with data owners, data stewards, business stakeholders, and technical teams to document issues, support remediation plans, and track progress through resolution 
  • Apply established data governance policies, standards, procedures, and stewardship processes within assigned areas of responsibility 
  • Maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, metadata, lineage documentation, and other governance artifacts using established standards and tools 
  • Monitor data quality controls and prepare recurring metrics, scorecards, and reports that provide visibility into data quality and governance activities 
  • Support Master Data Management activities, including data matching, survivorship review, stewardship workflows, and onboarding of assigned data domains 
  • Assist with governance activities for system implementations, data integrations, acquisitions, and other enterprise data initiatives by completing assigned analysis and documentation 
  • Partner with stakeholders to clarify business definitions and data requirements and elevate unresolved or cross-functional issues as needed 
  • Identify practical opportunities to improve governance workflows, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder adoption, and recommend changes 
  • Support the development and delivery of governance communications, training materials, and working sessions 
  • Share knowledge and provide day-to-day guidance to governance participants or less experienced analysts on established processes and tools 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in information management, business administration, data analytics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 3+ years of experience in data stewardship, data governance, data quality, or data analysis; experience in professional services, accounting, or financial services preferred 
  • Experience applying data governance standards, policies, or stewardship processes in a business environment 
  • Working proficiency in SQL and data profiling, visualization, and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools 
  • Experience using, or the ability to learn, data governance, metadata management, or Master Data Management platforms 
  • Working knowledge of data management principles and foundational ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and data modeling concepts 
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately and follow applicable privacy, security, and professional services requirements
  • Effective communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences  
  • Certification in data governance (CDMP, DGSP) or data quality is preferred 
  • Experience using Profisee and/or Purview is preferred
