THE POSITION Our roster has an opening with your name on it The Data Scientist, Generosity Experimentation will play a pivotal role in growing an experimentation function within the Sportsbook Commercial team focused on retention and loyalty. Reporting to the Experimentation Manager, this role will help to accelerate the speed of learning while maintaining standardization of processes across teams. The Data Scientist will partner with retention marketing stakeholders and will be responsible for designing and analyzing experiments that help to answer key questions and drive promotional strategy. They will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally, aligning with commercial stakeholders, generosity data science, marketing technology and machine learning engineering to pursue a best-in-class personalization strategy. In addition, the Data Scientist will have the opportunity to be involved in key strategic initiatives that support FanDuel’s overall growth.  In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. Introduce advanced statistical techniques to support data analysis and insight generation. </li> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="6" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="2" data-aria-level="1">Drive culture of experimentation throughout the Sportsbook business through initiatives to educate organization on experimentation best practices.   </li> </ul>   THE STATS What we're looking for in our next teammate <ul> <li>Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a data science or analytics role</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering) is preferred. Master’s degree a plus.</li> <li>Experience with experimental design, A/B/n testing, and use of statistical analysis. Experience with analysis or experimentation of personalization efforts, a plus. </li> <li>Advanced SQL skills required. Experience with statistical programming tools such as Python, R or SAS preferred.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to work through ambiguity and deliver solutions to business problems.</li> <li>Lives the “we are one team” mentality. The applicable salary range for this position is $98,000 - 122,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation.
