<p>The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Analyst is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing electronic data transactions between McCormick and its global business trading partners. This role ensures seamless system integration, accurate data exchange, and compliance with industry standards across multiple businesses and international locations.</p>
<p>The EDI Analyst works within a complex, multi-system environment, supporting business operations through interface automation, data conversion, error resolution, and system improvements. This position requires collaboration with internal teams (IT, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales & Distribution, and Customer Service) and external partners (suppliers, customers, banks, logistics provides and other third-party service providers) to ensure efficient and secure data flow.</p>

<p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Primary purpose:</span></p>
<p>The purpose of this role is to drive operational efficiency by ensuring reliable, accurate, and automated data transactions. By managing EDI processes, integrations, and compliance, the EDI Analyst reduces manual effort, minimizes errors, and enhances overall business performance.</p>
<p>This role also plays a critical part in continuous improvement and digital transformation, identifying opportunities for process automation, system optimization, and enhanced data governance. Through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and innovation, the EDI Analyst strengthens the organization's ability to execute seamless electronic transactions and maintains strong relationships with business partners.</p>

<p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Key Responsibilities</span></p>
<p> </p>
<p>1. EDI Monitoring & Error Resolution</p>
<p>• Monitors, maintains, and troubleshoots EDI transactions in various EDI standards across Order Management, Logistics, Purchasing, Disbursements, Finance, Billing, Planning, and Sales & Distribution areas.</p>
<p>• Provides administrative support, error documentation, testing and resolution to ensure seamless electronic data exchange.</p>
<p>• Supports EDI operations globally covering EMEA, NA and APAC, APZ countries.</p>

<p>2. EDI Integration & Partner Management</p>
<p>• Establishes and maintains EDI connections with business trading partners, managing inbound and outbound, internal, and inter-company data flows.</p>
<p>• Ensures accurate data conversion rules, testing and documentation for system integration.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>3. Process & System Optimization</p>
<p>• Supports SAP & Seeburger upgrades, automation initiatives, and system enhancements and testing to improve efficiency.</p>
<p>• Participates in cross-functional business projects to lead and ensure EDI governance and EDI solutions meeting organizational needs.</p>
<p>• Provides expertise, consultation, and problem analysis resolution, ensuring smooth execution of EDI processes.</p>

<p>4. Data Governance & Compliance</p>
<p>• Enforces EDI standards and best practices, SOX controls, and compliance requirements to maintain data integrity and security.</p>
<p>• Manages the Data Synchronization process, ensuring accurate attributes in customer systems.</p>
<p>• Actively participate in defining and monitoring metrics and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of services.</p>

<p>5. Industry Benchmarking & Best Practices</p>
<p>• Engages with industry peers, share groups, and benchmarking initiatives to drive continuous improvement.</p>
<p>• Advocates for EDI best practices and identifies opportunities for innovation.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Experience</span></p>
<p>• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience, or 7+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree, in EDI / Data Synch / Master Data Administration / Order Management / Logistics / Purchasing / Disbursements / Production / Quality / Finance / Billing / Planning or Sales & Distribution.</p>
<p>• Experience in working in a dynamic, cross-functional team. Knowledge of Sales, Purchasing, or Transportation operations is an advantage.</p>
<p>• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure and in sensitive business situations.</p>
<p>• In-depth understanding of the SAP platform and additional systems, Seeburger, data integration rules, and EDI/Business Partner Data Synchronization processes.</p>
<p>• Proven ability to lead and participate in cross-functional projects, representing EDI in business planning activities, and support process optimization initiatives.</p>
<p>• Experience in process improvements, automation, and working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</p>
<p>• Ability to provide 24/7 on-call support for critical EDI operations in an emergency event.</p>
<p>• Proficiency in SAP/ERP, Lotus Notes, Seeburger and web -based tools.</p>
<p>• 1-2 years of project management experience, leading cross-functional initiatives and ensuring successful design and implementation.</p>
<p>• Strong understanding of McCormick’s supply chain processes, particularly Sales & Distribution, and the integration points of SAP with Seeburger and other external systems, including configuration impact, data structures, and workflow design.</p>

<p>• Exhibits strong problem-solving and independent judgment to address complex issues in high-pressure situations and influence outcomes through collaboration with others.</p>
<p>• Challenges deviations from standard master data design within SAP and interface design in Seeburger to maintain data integrity and compliance.</p>

<p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Other Skills & Competencies</span></p>
<p>• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a solid understanding of database applications, SAP, Seeburger, web-based tools.</p>
<p>• Strong capability in data analysis.</p>
<p>• In-depth understanding of EDI processes, standards, and integration within SAP and other ERP environments. Ability to establish and enforce EDI best practices and challenge non-standard processes when necessary. Knowledge of EDIFACT, X12, TRADACOMS.</p>
<p>• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret data impacts and drive process optimization.</p>
<p>• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the McCormick business. Skilled in stakeholder engagement and relationship management. Represent McCormick externally with trading partners when needed. Knowledge of other foreign languages is an advantage.</p>
<p>• Ability to work effectively under aggressive deadlines and heavy workloads, while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.</p>
