Skills and Competencies

  • 0-2 years in credit/financial data analysis and interpretation; experience in structured finance will be an added advantage
  • Basic understanding of how data integrates into credit methodologies and ratings processes
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze financial metrics and statements
  • Engage effectively with team members, managers, and select stakeholders to support deliverables
  • Develop working knowledge of multiple simple projects or deliverables under guidance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) with strong English communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Basic understanding of AI concepts (Generative AI tools and Agentic AI systems etc) with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency leveraging these technologies for research, analysis, or workflow optimization. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field
  • CFA/ FRM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support credit analysis through data, research, and analytical services
  • Apply Moody’s standards to financial data to generate adjusted metrics, ratios, and visualizations
  • Scrub and validate data for use in ratings and research
  • Review financial reports and official statements to assess issuer performance & collaborate with analysts and accounting specialists to interpret accounting treatments
  • Assist rating teams by gathering and preparing data inputs & perform calculations and apply judgment to support analytical outputs
  • Maintain databases and complete deliverables such as newsletters and ad-hoc reports.
