Job Description

Are you passionate about the future of Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models? We are looking for a curious, hands-on GenAI & ML Intern to join our team for Summer 2027. This position is tailored for early-college students who want to bridge academic learning with real-world technical execution.

In this role, you will build functional AI prototypes, experiment with cutting-edge tools, and learn how enterprise AI applications are designed and deployed. You will collaborate closely with engineering team members while taking ownership of research and development projects.



Responsibilities:

  • AI Agent Development: Experiment with agentic frameworks and tools to design, build, and test simple autonomous AI agents capable of performing multi-step tasks and workflows.
  • Rapid Prototyping: Build functional AI/ML prototypes and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) applications using modern GenAI frameworks and APIs to showcase innovative features to stakeholders.
  • Technology Research: Test, evaluate, and benchmark emerging AI/ML tools, platforms, and protocols to identify opportunities for technological advancement.
  • Data Engineering & Analytics: Process, clean, and manipulate large datasets using data-oriented programming languages, and create intuitive visualizations to report findings.
  • API & Cloud Integration: Utilize enterprise cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and standard AI APIs to build scalable solutions that integrate into broader workflows.
  • Solution Support: Assist in troubleshooting, testing, and optimizing existing AI use cases to ensure stability and performance.
  • Technical Documentation: Help translate complex AI concepts into accessible language and documentation for cross-functional teams and internal users.

Requirement:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience with Python or R for data manipulation, analytics, or machine learning (via coursework, personal projects, or hackathons).
  • Familiarity with standard data/ML tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) or modern GenAI/Agent tools (e.g., OpenAI API, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Hugging Face).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn cloud architectures and enterprise software deployment practices.

Note: Candidate must be in the Chicago office 2 days a week.
