We are seeking a Head of Enterprise Data & Analytics to provide end-to-end leadership of the initiative to modernize the company's enterprise technology foundation. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will be accountable for defining and scaling AMETEK’s Enterprise Data & Intelligence Layer, including platform architecture, analytics delivery, AI enablement, and—critically—enterprise data governance and KPI standardization in a highly decentralized operating model. This leader will operate as the single point of accountability for the data and analytics program across the enterprise, partnering closely with ERP leadership, Finance, Commercial Excellence, Operations, and division IT leadership. AMETEK is undertaking a multi-year transformation to modernize its enterprise technology foundation, including ERP consolidation across SAP S/4HANA, Oracle and other platforms and the establishment of a centralized, governed enterprise data and analytics platform (“lakehouse”). How you will make an impact: Enterprise Data & Analytics Strategy <ul> <li>Own and execute AMETEK’s Enterprise Data & Analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with ERP consolidation and the company’s long term operating model</li> <li>Translate enterprise business priorities (growth, margin, working capital, portfolio optimization) into decision driven analytics use cases with measurable value</li> <li>Lead the progression from initial pilot to enterprise rollout across all divisions, including roadmap, phasing, and operating model definition</li> </ul> Platform & Architecture Leadership <ul> <li>Serve as the owner of the enterprise lakehouse architecture, including: <ul> <li>Data ingestion (ERP, CRM and other sources)</li> <li>Microsoft Fabric and Databricks platform strategy and validation</li> <li>Core medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold) and semantic models</li> </ul> </li> <li>Ensure analytics are decoupled from transactional systems, enabling cross ERP, cross division insight during and after ERP migrations</li> <li>Evaluate and govern the responsible use of AI / advanced analytics within the enterprise platform</li> </ul> Data Governance & Standards <ul> <li>Establish and enforce an enterprise data governance model that prevents metric fragmentation while respecting appropriate BU autonomy. </li> <li>Define and institutionalize: <ul> <li>Enterprise KPI definitions and ownership</li> <li>Customer, product, and end market taxonomies</li> <li>Data quality, certification, and approval processes</li> </ul> </li> <li>Chair or co lead enterprise Data Governance Steering forums with senior functional leadership. </li> </ul> Analytics Delivery & Value Realization <ul> <li>Oversee delivery of enterprise and division level analytics assets, ensuring reuse of certified KPIs and consistent semantic models</li> <li>Ensure analytics investments possess tangible, quantified business cases tied to revenue growth, margin protection, cost reduction, and/or working capital improvements</li> <li>Track adoption, usage, and realized ROI across the enterprise</li> </ul> Operating Model & Leadership <ul> <li>Build and lead a federated Enterprise Data & Analytics organization, including: <ul> <li>Central enterprise architecture, governance, and enablement teams</li> <li>Matrix leadership of divisional analytics contributors aligned to enterprise standards</li> </ul> </li> <li>Define the internal FTE model and partner strategy required to scale enterprise analytics sustainably</li> <li>Act as a senior leader within the IT Leadership Team, influencing across functional and divisional boundaries.</li> </ul> What you will bring to the role: Required <ul> <li>15+ years of progressive leadership in enterprise data, analytics, or digital transformation roles</li> <li>Proven experience building and scaling enterprise data platforms in complex, decentralized organizations</li> <li>Hands on leadership experience with ERP-adjacent analytics (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to establish enterprise data governance and KPI standards across autonomous business units</li> <li>Strong executive communication skills, including board and CEO level presentations and value articulation</li> </ul> Preferred <ul> <li>Experience in global industrial, manufacturing, or diversified portfolio companies</li> <li>Direct experience with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, or comparable cloud platforms</li> <li>Track record of translating analytics into measurable financial impact (revenue growth, margin improvement, cost reduction)</li> <li>Experience scaling analytics through federated or CoE based models</li> </ul> Leadership Attributes <ul> <li>Enterprise thinker with the ability to navigate federation vs. standardization trade offs</li> <li>Strong bias to outcomes, not technology for technology’s sake</li> <li>Credible operator with both strategic vision and execution discipline</li> <li>Comfortable driving change in a decentralized business environments</li> </ul> #LI-BM1
