About this role
In the Diageo Marketing Operations & MarTech (MOM) team, we establish the tools, capabilities, processes and ways of working that enable Diageo marketers to drive growth and competitive advantage. This includes leading Diageo’s marketing data agenda, internally and externally, sourcing consumer and commercial data, enabling marketers access to trusted data, activate it with confidence and measure impact across media, content, and marketing effectiveness.
The Head of Marketing Data, APAC operates at the heart of the region’s data ecosystem – clarifying regional data needs and availability, sourcing required data both internally and externally, deploying global intelligence products into markets, and turning data into activation and measurement that drives growth.
This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strategic thinking with deep analytical and data expertise — and who is comfortable moving between theory, data, and real-world activation. You will report to regional Marketing Operations & MarTech Director in APAC and align to the global strategy with a dotted line to the central Marketing Data organization within the same Diageo’s Marketing Operations & MarTech (MOM) function.
You will be responsible for:
- Serve as regional marketing data expert with strong understanding of both internal and external data landscape, gaps and sourcing opportunities
- Articulate regional data needs and availability across consumer, commercial and insights with a focus on troubleshooting data blockages and delivery, laddering up to global strategy in support of regional outcomes.
- Deploy and embed global data products into markets as the voice of global products with regional and local stakeholders.
- Deploy predictive audience segments and experimentation (A/B, incrementality, causal inference) with media, content, and marketing effectiveness.
- Act as the feedback loop to central Marketing Data organization on priority product optimizations.
The required qualifications for this role are:
- 8+ years’ experience with proven track record deploying data models and programs that drive measurable business impact.
- Familiarity with causal inference, incrementality testing and modern measurement approaches.
- Experience with large-scale consumer datasets, CDPs and martech ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of 1PD acquisition, media, retail; additional understanding of category and consumer planning insights are an advantage.
- Proven ability to navigate a matrix organization successfully, with strong interpersonal, influencing and collaboration skills that deliver results.
