The Identity & Access Management (IAM) Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization's identity governance and user access administration. This role ensures that users are granted appropriate access to systems and applications in accordance with business requirements, policies, and regulatory standards.
The IAM Analyst partners with Information Security, IT Operations, Human Resources, application owners, and business stakeholders to manage the identity lifecycle, conduct access reviews, support audits, and enhance IAM processes and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Access Management & Provisioning
- Analyze user identities and access across enterprise applications, cloud platforms, operating systems, databases, and network resources.
- Review user onboarding, transfers, role changes, and terminations to ensure alignment with relevant policies and established service level agreements.
- Maintain role-based access control (RBAC) models and access request workflows.
- Investigate identity and access-related issues and service requests.
Identity Governance & Compliance
- Support periodic user access certifications, entitlement reviews, and termination reviews.
- Monitor compliance with access management policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing evidence, documentation, and remediation support.
- Identify and remediate segregation of duties (SoD) conflicts and excessive access privileges.
- Maintain documentation related to IAM processes, controls, and procedures.
- Participate in implementation and maintenance of privileged access management (PAM) solutions.
- Support initiatives to strengthen authentication and authorization controls across the enterprise.
- Develop reports and metrics related to access management, compliance, and operational performance.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in Identity & Access Management, Information Security, IT Operations, or a related role.
- Experience supporting identity audit, compliance, and access review activities in a SOX environment
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management principles and best practices.
- Experience with one or more IAM platforms: SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, CyberArk
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
