Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Packager to support enterprise software deployment across a global Windows environment supporting 10,000+ endpoints.

This role is responsible for packaging, testing, and deploying enterprise applications using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and related endpoint management tools. The Application Packager ensures applications are deployed reliably, securely, and in alignment with enterprise standards.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on packaging quality, deployment success, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Package and deploy enterprise applications (MSI, EXE, scripted installs) using MECM.
  • Create and validate detection methods, dependencies, supersedence, and rollback strategies.
  • Support 10–20 packaging requests per month across business units.
  • Ensure deployments meet security and compliance standards.
  • Perform functional testing in pre-production environments.
  • Validate silent installs, uninstall behavior, version control, and upgrade paths.
  • Coordinate UAT with business stakeholders when required.
  • Monitor deployment success rates and troubleshoot installation failures.
  • Analyze logs and remediate packaging-related issues.
  • Reduce rework by improving packaging standards and documentation.
  • Assist with application updates and version lifecycle management.
  • Partner with Security and Vulnerability teams to prioritize high-risk software remediation.
  • Ensure timely deployment of critical application updates.
  • Develop PowerShell scripts to enhance packaging efficiency.
  • Standardize packaging templates and reusable components.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through automation.
  • Maintain packaging documentation and change records.
  • Ensure proper version tracking and audit readiness.
  • Follow enterprise change management processes.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in application packaging within enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience with MECM application deployment.
  • Experience packaging MSI, EXE, and scripted installations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using logs and deployment diagnostics.
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
  • Understanding of Windows 10/11 environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Intune application deployment.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management workflows.
  • Experience supporting global or multi-site environments.
  • Experience with automation or scripting frameworks.
