 Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled IT Analyst Applications (Snowflake Developer) to join Order Fulfillment & Procureme – Cat IT Division team. With 3 to 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data solutions within Procurement applications in RI IT. The candidate will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines, optimizing Snowflake data models, and enabling analytics solutions across Procurement Data Platforms such as EPDP and SCDP.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore – Caterpillar PSN 

This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule.

Shift Timing : 01:00-10:00PM IST

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake and cloud-based data technologies.
• Build and optimize Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, tasks, and streams.
• Develop data integration solutions to ingest data from ERP, procurement, supplier, and supply chain systems into enterprise data platforms.
• Support Procurement analytics, supplier management, sourcing, item master data, and spend analytics initiatives.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and data consumers to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Monitor data quality, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement optimization strategies.
• Develop reusable data models and ensure adherence to enterprise data governance and security standards.
• Support reporting and analytics teams by enabling data access for Power BI and other BI solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

Required Skills

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Data Warehousing and Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, data modeling, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Understanding of Supply Chain, Procurement, or Manufacturing business processes.
• Experience working with large-scale enterprise datasets and analytical solutions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and Git-based version control.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge with Power BI and analytics reporting.
• Exposure to procurement systems, supplier management, sourcing, and master data domains.
• Knowledge of Python or scripting languages for automation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Snowflake certification is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
