 Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Analyst Applications (Snowflake Developer) to join RI Order Fulfilment & Procurement–CAT IT Division. To support the SDP (Sales Data Platform), EPDP, and SCDP applications. This role will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining Snowflake-based data solutions while ensuring high availability, performance, and data quality across critical procurement and supplier data platforms.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore – Caterpillar PSN 

This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule.

Shift Timing: 01:00-10:00PM IST

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Snowflake data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration solutions.
• Support ongoing development and production support activities for SDP, EPDP, and SCDP applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and application teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and reporting processes using Snowflake and cloud-based technologies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, resolve production issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Optimize database performance, storage, and query efficiency.
• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance standards are maintained.
• Support system upgrades, data migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Participate in Agile development processes, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Work closely with onsite and offshore teams to deliver high-quality solutions and support business objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or database development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL, Python and data modeling concepts.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools, data integration frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Knowledge of data warehousing, performance tuning, and data governance best practices.
• Experience supporting production systems and resolving complex data-related issues.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS services, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of procurement, supplier management, or enterprise data platforms.
• Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Experience working in global support and development environments

• Supports the project leader in developing and executing system test plans.
• Evaluates system documentation and user manuals for usability, accuracy and completeness.
• Executes test cases, analyzes test results and reports on findings regularly.
• Tests system components for compliance with functional requirements.
• Participates in the testing of a system's ability to recover from hardware or software failures
