Job Description

You will join us as M&A Origination Analyst Intern, reporting directly to the M&A Director, who is based in Europe.

Main responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Sourcing and screening potential acquisition targets across all continents, working with our appointed sourcing consultants and local business managers and using industry databases, networking, and other channels.
  • Taking part in introductory meetings and pitching QIMA's projects to prospective sellers.
  • Helping draft the business and financial memo on each potential target for presentation to senior management.
  • Performing financial analysis and taking part in Q&A sessions with financial advisers and target management teams.
  • Valuing targets and drafting letters of intent.
  • Maintaining and updating our target and pipeline database throughout the sourcing and deal-execution stages.

Qualifications

You are in your final year or on a gap year ("césure") at a top-tier business or engineering school and available for four to six months. Successful candidates will also be:

  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Able to multi-task and run several acquisition projects in parallel.
  • Enthusiastic and personable, with a positive attitude and a genuine team-player mindset.
  • Comfortable working in an international environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong listening skills.
  • Fluent in English.
