Job Title: Modeling and Simulation Analyst

 

Job Summary:

Qualified candidates should be adept at effectively organizing and executing analytic studies within a team of analysts containing skills spanning a range of disciplines. Experience and familiarity with the space domain and the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) is required.

 

Responsibilities:

• Utilizing studies and analyses, specifically a strong background in mission-level modeling and simulation, the analyst will make recommendations regarding the military utility, feasibility, joint warfighter impacts of the concepts and capabilities under study
• Coordinating with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives
• Working as part of a contractor team, alongside a broader team of government and contract staff

 

Required Qualifications:

• Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance

• Education: Bachelor's degree in operations research, mathematics, a basic science field or an engineering discipline
• 10+ years of experience
• Experience conducting modeling, simulation and analyses with AFSIM
• High motivation, creativity, and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data

Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree in operations research, mathematics, a basic science field, or an engineering discipline
• Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools utilizing Systems Modeling Language (SysML), e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler or Sparx Enterprise Architect
• Experience with more highly aggregated, campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level analysis tools
• Experience in DoD space and joint force programs
• Experience with Python, OptDef, MATLAB, R, SAS, JMP, and/or Java
• Experience with data transformations and data visualization
• Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and MySQL or other relational databases
• Experience with BI Tools
• Experience with Excel VBA

 

Work Environment:

• Location: On site

• Travel Requirements: Minimal
• Working Hours: Standard, 40 hours per week (Full-time)

 

Compensation:

• For Colorado only, the salary range for this position is approximately $155,000 - $165,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

 

Other Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
