The opportunity
BDA is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join the P-8A Poseidon Through Life Support Program. In this role you will be responsible for the planning and scheduling activities associated with P-8A Poseidon Maintenance and Modification activities, and supporting the management of aircraft technical documentation. As a Maintenance Planner you will provide support to Base maintenance (Depot and Intermediate) and Modification lines at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Edinburgh.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security standards and be able to meet the requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS).
Responsibilities
Planning and scheduling maintenance activities associated with the P-8A Poseidon aircraft, systems and components
The compilation and issuing of Work Orders and maintenance priorities to maintenance staff, assisting with development and updates of aircraft maintenance schedules to meet program operational requirements and performing reporting of maintenance activities
Analyse, plan, organize and control maintenance, modification and repairs of aircraft, aircraft components and support equipment
Develop and maintain aircraft maintenance and modification schedules
Coordinate and monitor materials, tools, aircraft components and support equipment requisitioning, receipt and allocation.
Experience / Qualifications
Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling. Aviation maintenance experience is essential.
Experience working with maintenance management systems (cMRO is desirable)
Experience in aircraft maintenance data management
Collaborative interpersonal and communication skills
Well-developed prioritisation skills enabling management of changing priorities in an aviation MRO environment
High standard of computer literacy (Excel, Word)
Experience working in a safety critical environment
Data Management (e.g. CAMM2) experience is desirable.
Security Clearance
You must be an Australian citizen and be able to meet Defence security requirements. You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (NV1) sponsored by BDA. Accordingly, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time.
