Power BI Designer / Senior Power BI Consultant

Key Responsibilities

Business & Stakeholder Management

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
• Conduct workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution discussions in Korean and English.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical design specifications.
• Provide recommendations on KPIs, reporting frameworks, and dashboard design standards.
• Act as the primary liaison between business users, developers, and project leadership.

Solution Design & Power BI Development

• Design, develop, and govern enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Create intuitive and visually compelling reports that drive business insights and decision-making.
• Design scalable semantic models and reporting architectures.
• Define reporting standards, security models, and best practices.
• Optimize report performance, usability, and user experience.

Data Modeling & Analytics

• Build and maintain complex Power BI data models using star and snowflake schema principles.
• Develop DAX measures, calculations, KPIs, and analytical models.
• Ensure data consistency, data quality, and reporting accuracy.
• Work closely with data engineering teams on data integration and transformation requirements.

Technical Delivery Leadership

• Convert requirements into detailed technical designs and user stories.
• Work with Power BI developers and data engineers to deliver solutions on time and with high quality.
• Review designs, code, and deliverables to ensure adherence to architecture standards.
• Support UAT, deployment planning, and production releases.
• Manage delivery risks, dependencies, and issue resolution.

Collaboration & Governance

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, SAP, Business Analytics, and IT teams.
• Support governance initiatives including security, data lineage, and metadata management.
• Drive adoption of BI best practices and self-service reporting capabilities.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, or related discipline.
• 10-12 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions.
• 5+ years of strong hands-on Power BI experience.
• Advanced knowledge of:
  • Power BI Service
  • Power BI Desktop
  • DAX
  • Power Query
  • SQL
  • Data Modeling
• Proven experience in dashboard design and visualization best practices.
• Strong stakeholder management and business consulting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in:
  • English
  • Korean

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, or SAP data structures.
• Experience with Data Lake, Azure Data Platform, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, ADF, Databricks, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of Data Engineering concepts, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud data architectures.
• Experience leading global analytics projects.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies.
