About the Position:
The Product Data Specialist plays a key role in ensuring product information is accurate, consistent, and accessible across the SOLV4EX Group of companies, including Canadian Energy, Discover Battery, and Discover Energy Systems.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, systems, and detailed information while also collaborating with different teams across the business. You will help maintain reliable product and pricing information, support product updates and launches, and ensure teams such as Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and Operations are working from accurate and up-to-date information.
The role combines hands-on data management with cross-functional coordination. Success in this position means reducing errors, improving the speed of product updates, and helping create a reliable source of product information across the organization.
As a SOLV4EX team member, a typical week will include the following:
- Maintain and update product information within NetSuite and other business systems, including pricing, SKUs, specifications, and product attributes.
- Review product data for accuracy and correct inconsistencies across systems.
- Process product, pricing, and specification updates from Product Management and vendors.
- Help ensure product information is consistent across the ERP, company websites, marketing materials, and internal documentation.
- Respond to product, pricing, and configuration questions from Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, and other internal teams.
- Coordinate product and pricing changes to ensure updates are implemented accurately across the business.
- Support new product launches by confirming pricing, specifications, documentation, and system information are ready.
- Review product documentation such as specification sheets, one-pagers, and product links for accuracy.
- Maintain organized and accessible product information and documentation.
- Maintain vendor pricing and product information.
- Support SKU-level pricing and margin analysis.
- Identify product data issues, gaps, or risks and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them.
- Help develop and maintain consistent standards for product naming, SKU structure, and data quality.
- Look for opportunities to improve how product data is maintained, communicated, and used across the organization.
The Location: This position is located in Richmond, BC.
Requirements:
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in operations, product support, sales operations, supply chain, data management, or a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with ERP or business management systems; experience with NetSuite is an asset.
- Strong Excel skills, including functions such as XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data validation or cleanup.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate and consistent information.
- Comfortable working with large amounts of structured data and product information.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across different departments.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take ownership of issues through to resolution.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- An interest in improving processes and using technology, including emerging tools such as AI, to make work more efficient and reliable.
