Quality Analytics & Data Specialist
ROLE PROFILE:
As part of our Content Operation Data Governance and Data Quality Team, you will play a key role in supporting the adoption of strong data governance and data quality practices across Financial Content Operations. This role requires attention to detail, structured thinking, and the ability to translate governance requirements into practical, actionable activities.
You will contribute to shaping a culture of governance and quality management by providing subject‑matter expertise, analysing impacts from regulatory and policy changes, and helping Financial Content Operations teams embed governance standards into their daily operations.
You will also play a critical role in ensuring that data used across the organisation is accurate, complete, reliable, and fit for purpose. You will bring strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a good understanding of data flows, processes, and controls to maintain high-quality data across core systems. You will participate in the process of creating right solutions for Data Quality checks.
You are required to work closely with partners across LSEG D&A Operations, supporting the interpretation of governance and quality expectations, identifying risks, and ensuring that Financial Content Operations’ data landscape is accurately represented and continuously improving.
ROLE SUMMARY:
Support the evolution of Financial Content Operations towards compliance with Governance policies, DORA, and future regulatory frameworks, while aligning with wider LSEG policy requirements.
Engage across the organisation to understand business expectations and translate them into clear governance and quality requirements for Financial Content Operations teams.
Help ensure consistent data design principles, documentation standards, and transparent reporting of Financial Content Operations data assets, flows, and processes.
Provide domain expertise to assess and communicate compliance levels against governance principles.
Support the implementation of data quality controls, policies, and standards as part of the enterprise data governance framework.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Collaborating with Data Trust, GORP, and relevant partners to support the implementation of LSEG Group Operating Policies.
Reviewing, validating, and improving the insights derived from Financial Content Operations inventories and metadata sources.
Supporting continuous improvements in data quality, data lineage accuracy, and overall governance maturity.
Identifying opportunities to simplify and streamline governance processes across Financial Content Operations.
Working closely with Financial Content Operations teams to drive adoption of governance practices and support compliance activities.
Provide guidance and support to Financial Content Operations teams in completing FMEA, ensuring clear visibility of outcomes to management.
Maintain up to date and comprehensive process maps for Financial Content Operations in Blueworks Live, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Promote adherence to the Policy and Standards framework, advocating its use and helping teams apply associated best practices in their work (Records Management, Process documentation)
Measure data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, validity, timeliness, consistency, uniqueness).
Define, build, and maintain data quality rules, thresholds, and metrics.
Optimise monitoring logic and rule sets to reduce false positives and increase detection precision.
Collaborate with UAT teams to refine acceptance criteria and strengthen quality controls.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Demonstrated passion and understanding of what Governance and Data Quality means for Financial Content Operations
Strong understanding of governance frameworks, data structures, and process mapping.
Present information in logical, concise, contextual way which engages all groups, with Strong Presentation skills.
Ability to translate regulatory or policy requirements into actionable tasks for operational teams.
Experience preparing clear, structured information for management audiences.
Knowledge of external regulations relevant to Financial Content Operations’ data and operational processes.
Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and levels.
An ability to apply critical thinking when assessing the implications of policies on Financial Content Operations
Showcased a strong grasp of at least 2 datasets within Financial Content Operations
SQL, Python, or PowerBI skills desirable.
Proven skills for influencing others and building strong partnerships with key personnel at all levels of the group.
Knowledge of process mapping and data structures
Knowledge of Deming and QMS tool, an added advantage.
