Job description

Make your mark strengthening client and counterparty data quality while building leadership skills in a fast-paced operations team with strong mobility opportunities.

As a Party Reference Data Operations Analyst within Party Reference Data Operations, you will oversee the onboarding and lifecycle maintenance of client and counterparty reference static data with a focus on accuracy, controls, and service-level agreement delivery. You will coordinate daily work queues, coach analysts through exceptions and escalations, and uphold documentation and authorization standards before processing requests. You will partner with stakeholders to resolve issues, improve upstream submission quality, and deliver management information on volumes, quality, and productivity to support continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end delivery for onboarding and lifecycle maintenance activities, including setups, amendments, hierarchy changes, static data updates, mergers, and deactivations.
  • Coordinate work allocation, queue management, and capacity balancing to meet productivity and quality targets.
  • Validate that requests originate from authorized sources and meet minimum documentation requirements prior to processing.
  • Apply procedural guidelines consistently and confirm supporting documentation is complete and appropriate before actioning requests.
  • Implement quality assurance routines, including dual review, sampling, and trend analysis, to sustain accurate and complete reference data.
  • Monitor open items, exceptions, and aging work to protect service levels and reduce operational risk.
  • Escalate complex issues with clear status, root-cause themes, and action plans to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain records and audit trails to support governance routines, reviews, and control testing.
  • Partner with requestors and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, remediate exceptions, and improve submission quality.
  • Produce management information covering volumes, productivity, service-level agreement adherence, quality outcomes, and exception themes.
  • Coach team members through training support, ongoing feedback, and a culture of accuracy, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Earn a university degree.
  • Bring 3+ years of experience in financial services or a closely related industry.
  • Demonstrate fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in verbal and written formats.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail when processing, reviewing, and updating reference data.
  • Analyze operational issues to support accurate exception handling and remediation activity.
  • Use standard productivity tools confidently, including spreadsheet software.
  • Apply basic knowledge of financial industry concepts in day-to-day processing and stakeholder interactions.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment to deliver consistent outcomes.
  • Follow established procedures and control requirements to support well-controlled execution.

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Show hands-on exposure to low-code or no-code tools for workflow automation, forms, lightweight applications, and dashboarding.
  • Leverage advanced spreadsheet capabilities, including macros, to improve tracking, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Translate operational needs into simple automation ideas and partner effectively with technology teams to implement them.
  • Developing experience using AI-powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational processes.
