Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The Reporting Analyst owns the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of governed, scalable reporting and analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across manufacturing and business operations.
The role partners with stakeholders across manufacturing, finance, commercial, supply chain, operations, engineering, and IT to understand business processes, define reporting requirements, and translate complex data into trusted insights. The Reporting Analyst serves as the bridge between business users and enterprise data platforms, ensuring decision-makers have timely, accurate, and accessible information to manage performance, identify opportunities, and drive operational excellence.

- Validate reporting outputs against source systems and business expectations, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and trust in delivered analytics.
- Support data quality monitoring, reconciliation activities, and troubleshooting of reporting and refresh issues.
- Partner with manufacturing, finance, commercial, supply chain, operations, engineering, and IT stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and decision-support requirements.
- Drive KPI standardization and metric consistency across business functions and reporting solutions.
- Automate recurring reporting processes and reduce manual effort through reusable and sustainable analytics solutions.
- Document report logic, KPI definitions, business assumptions, data sources, refresh schedules, lineage, and known limitations.
- Enable business users through training, communication, documentation, and practical guidance on interpreting insights and using self-service reporting capabilities.
- Monitor report usage, gather stakeholder feedback, and continuously improve analytics solutions based on business value and adoption.
- Collaborate with the Business Information Architect to align reporting solutions with enterprise standards, governance practices, and long-term analytics strategy.
