The Role Artefact is looking for a Senior AI & Data Consultant: an analytical, client-facing consultant who is also a hands-on builder with AI. You will perform advanced analytics, interface directly with clients, and keep project efforts aligned and on track — and you will do it AI-natively. Our senior consultants use AI tools to analyze faster, write better, and prototype what they recommend. When the team needs a quick proof of concept, you're the one who opens Claude Code or Gemini CLI and builds it. We need someone who is not afraid of the terminal. What You'll Do <ul> <li>Define client needs through interviews with client teams and technology partners.</li> <li>Perform advanced data analysis and research on high-impact, strategic client problems.</li> <li>Help build, formulate, and present strategic data and AI recommendations.</li> <li>Keep internal project efforts aligned and on track, and interface with clients with confidence and care.</li> <li>Use AI tools daily across your work: analysis, synthesis, writing, and quality checking — with the judgment to verify outputs.</li> <li>Prototype ideas with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex): a working demo, an automated analysis, a small internal tool.</li> <li>Apply core GenAI concepts — prompting, RAG, agents, context engineering — well enough to explain them to clients and stress-test vendor claims.</li> <li>Develop specialization in at least one AI platform ecosystem: Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude), or OpenAI.</li> <li>Present insights to clients in clear, compelling language — to technical and non-technical audiences alike.</li> <li>Contribute to new business proposals and to Artefact-published content (research, articles, business cases).</li> <li>Oversee and mentor entry-level consultants and interns.</li> </ul> What We're Looking For <ul> <li>3–5 years of full-time work experience, ideally in consulting, data/analytics, marketing, advertising, finance, or tech.</li> <li>Strong analytical skills and experience presenting data-driven recommendations to clients.</li> <li>Hands-on AI literacy: regular use of AI tools for real work, and demonstrated willingness to build — prototypes, automations, analyses — with AI assistance.</li> <li>Comfort with the terminal, and with tools like Claude Code or Gemini CLI (or clear evidence you'll get there fast).</li> <li>Working knowledge of SQL and/or Python for data analysis; advanced Excel and PowerPoint/Google Workspace.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, client-facing and intercultural.</li> <li>A teaching orientation: willingness to mentor junior team members.</li> <li>Undergraduate degree, preferably in business, technology, or another field related to our work.</li> </ul> Preferred Experience <ul> <li>Strategy consulting and/or digital marketing knowledge.</li> <li>Familiarity with GenAI concepts: RAG, agents, prompting, context engineering.</li> <li>Exposure to a major AI or cloud platform (Google, Anthropic, OpenAI; GCP, Azure, AWS).</li> <li>Experience contributing to proposals or thought leadership.</li> </ul> Why you should join us We are united by our values and strengthened by our hybrid expertise. <ul> <li>There is always a way: We're from the breed of does, of diggers, of makers. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, this role is eligible for competitive benefits.
