Role/ Department:
 

The role is within Depositary Operations helping to ensure that Northern Trust fulfils its oversight responsibilities under the Alternative Investment Fund Management Directive (AIFMD), UCITS V and other regulatory requirements.

The primary responsibilities will be in Depositary Operations.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Interpret information from Investment Managers to gain understanding of an Alternative investment;
  • Coordinate sourcing executed documentation & validate documentation and information;
  • Perform and review Asset Verification activities, sourcing appropriate documentation to verify ownership of the Fund over “Other Assets”;
  • Support the team by actioning various daily processes & team mailbox maintenance;
  • Participate on meetings with relevant internal and external parties;
  • Ability to suggest improvements on processes;
  • Participating in ensuring governance procedures are being adhered to;
  • Gathering data for reporting requirements for both internal and external clients.

Skills/Qualifications

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

  • Good understanding of the Funds Industry a requirement;
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external parties;
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment;
  • Good problem solving skills;
  • Proficient in MS Office.
