Job Summary

We’re seeking a Sr. Analytics Engineer I to strengthen our ability to learn from user data—turning millions of farmer interactions and behavioral signals into insights that guide design, growth, and strategy.

The main goal of this role is to strengthen the data foundation and launch a targeted set of high-priority, high-visibility analytical projects—helping us understand how farmers find, use, and benefit from FarmerChat across India, Kenya, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and other priority geographies.

You’ll join a lean but growing data and analytics team embedded within FarmerChat’s global strategy function, working closely with cross-functional product and tech teams. This is a senior individual-contributor role: you’ll set the standards and best practices this function runs on, not just execute against ones already in place.

  • Familiar with data ingestion and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Airbyte, or Fivetran.
  • Familiar with Google Analytics, MoEngage, Mixpanel, or similar product analytics systems, and eager to learn new tools.
  • Experience working with high-volume event data from mobile apps or conversational products, and using it to inform product or growth decisions.
  • Experience using GitHub for version control and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working across time zones and cultures, synthesizing inputs from product, research, MEL, and country teams into concise recommendations.
  • Track record of partnering with product or growth teams to define funnels, cohorts, and guardrail metrics for experiments.

What You'll Build
