Senior Associate, Data Science & Analytics
Position Summary
Vista Credit Partners is seeking a data and analytics professional to support the investment team, investor relations, operations, and finance functions across the platform. Reporting into Vista Credit's Data Science and Analytics team, this person will source and structure data, maintain and enhance the team’s internal analytics applications and business intelligence dashboards, and support investor diligence and portfolio analysis. The role also contributes to the platform’s data engineering and artificial intelligence initiatives, partnering closely with the technology and data science teams. It offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of data science and credit investing and to grow under direct mentorship as the platform scales.
This role is based in New York, NY and is for an immediate start.
Responsibilities
- Source, structure, and perform preliminary analysis on raw data, reports, and research from market data and research platforms to support the investment and investor relations teams.
- Maintain ongoing data quality checks across portfolio monitoring and datasets.
- Support investor diligence and information requests using market data, third-party research, and portfolio data, including LP track record substantiation.
- Own, maintain, and enhance the team’s suite of internal analytics applications used by the investment team.
- Maintain and enhance the platform’s business intelligence dashboards and the automated reports distributed to the broader team.
- Advance artificial intelligence and data-capture initiatives, including internal knowledge management, workflow automation, and data integration tools.
- Work with Credit Deal team, Investor Relations, Finance and Ops teams to develop quantitative tools and identify data gaps
- Partner with the credit deal team, investor relations, finance, and operations to build quantitative tools and surface gaps in existing data.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline preferred.
- Approximately 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in data analytics, data science, or a related quantitative field; level will be commensurate with experience.
- Proficiency in Python and Snowflake (SQL) required.
- Experience with Azure, GitLab, Visual Studio, and Bloomberg preferred.
- Experience in finance or credit preferred but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $140,000 - $185,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other components may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
