Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of North American retirement and savings plan administration, including U.S. 401(k), deferred compensation, defined benefit, HSA, and Canadian retirement savings programs
  • Experience managing retirement plan operations, compliance activities, contribution funding, payroll interfaces, reconciliations, audits, regulatory filings, and participant communications
  • Ability to analyze payroll, eligibility, compensation, contribution, and vendor data; identify discrepancies; determine root causes; and implement corrective actions
  • Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Payroll, Legal, Accounting, Treasury, Compliance, and People teams
  • Advanced Excel and data management skills, including reconciliation, validation, reporting, exception analysis, and process documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex retirement and savings topics to diverse audiences
  • High attention to detail, strong judgment, confidentiality, ownership, and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience in retirement benefits administration, pension operations, benefits finance, or a related discipline
  • Retirement or benefits certifications such as CEBS, RPA, GBA, QKA, CBP, or SHRM are preferred
  • Experience with Workday, ADP, Fidelity, Aon, Manulife, Alight, Newport, MetLife, or comparable systems and vendors is preferred

Responsibilities

Manage the operational delivery, compliance, and continuous improvement of Moody’s North America retirement and savings programs while ensuring accuracy, control, and an exceptional employee experience.
  • Administer U.S. 401(k), deferred compensation, defined benefit, HSA, and Canadian retirement savings programs, including eligibility reviews, contribution funding, payroll interfaces, and vendor file management
  • Perform reconciliations, validate payroll and vendor data, resolve complex file errors, document adjustments, and ensure timely issue resolution
  • Coordinate compliance testing, audit activities, Form 5500 support, funding notices, participant communications, and quarterly reporting requirements
  • Support defined benefit valuations, executive benefits activities, deferred compensation enrollment periods, proxy data requests, vendor invoicing, and governance processes
  • Respond to employee and stakeholder inquiries, manage escalations, and maintain effective relationships with vendors, consultants, and internal partners
  • Partner with Payroll, Treasury, Accounting, Legal, Compliance, and People teams to ensure accurate program administration and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain process documentation, operational calendars, control evidence, SOPs, and process maps to support audit readiness and operational excellence
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, enhance participant experience, and increase automation across retirement operations
  • Support confidential workforce, executive, audit, and regulatory reporting requests while maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and governance
