Senior Data Analyst

Shape the future of presentations and idea sharing with Prezi. We are currently growing our data science & analytics team and are looking for a Senior Data Analyst with a passion for working with web, product, user behavioral, and financial data. You will help define strategy, guide operations and KPIs, and impact how we build experiences and products that empower our users to be the best communicators in the world.

At Prezi, we believe in data driven decisions, and our data science & analytics team is at the heart of enabling this. We work hand-in-hand with our leadership and cross functional teams to surface the right questions and provide high quality insights through data products, deep-dive analyses and/or creating dashboards for future self-service and reuse. To surface the right data, we continuously iterate on our datasets to improve our reliability, quality, and accuracy of what is being used to make decisions.

What You’ll Do 

As a member of our Data Science & Analytics Team, you will conduct end-to-end analyses from the conception (requirements specification, data processing), all the way to the end result and presentation. In many cases, your analytical results will directly impact end users by powering personalized user experiences. You will be charged with deeply understanding our business, working as a best friend to our product managers and various stakeholders, and communicating data-driven insights and recommendations that will help drive every decision we make to foster a healthy data culture.

Key Responsibilities 

• Strive to have a positive impact on user experience and key company metrics. Quantify and attribute that impact wherever possible to enable continuous learning.

• Proactively partner with stakeholders to define key metrics, and deliver reports, analyses, insights, and data products that contribute to company growth
• Foster self-service analytics throughout the company by training & mentoring others, and maintaining core datasets and dashboards
• Experiment and adopt AI technologies in the data space
• Team with data engineering to ensure that Prezi has comprehensive and trustworthy data to use

What We’re Looking For 

• Have 5+ years of relevant experience in data/business analytics with large datasets (Internet, banking, telecommunication)
• Have a degree in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Applied Math, Physics, Social Sciences, or related areas
• Are familiar with comprehensive statistical analyses: funnel analysis, clustering, forecasting, recommender systems
• Hands-on experience with building dashboards from scratch
• Are comfortable with understanding business problems of stakeholders and supporting them with relevant analyst deep dives
• Are proficient in data transformation: mainly SQL, plus Python or any other scripting language
• Active user and early adopter of AI technologies, interest in prompt and context engineering
• Have effective written and verbal communication skills in English

• A proactive team player mentality.
• Comfort communicating and presenting to diverse teams, including engineers and product stakeholders.

Bonus Points 

• Experience with using AI tools in the analytics space
• Have experience with Customer profiling, personalization and recommendations
• Familiar with Amazon Web Services
• Have experience with writing and maintaining ETL pipelines
• Have experience with SaaS product analytics

You will report to the Senior Director of Data Science & Analytics, Balazs Szakacs.
