You will own the detection intelligence at the heart of Signals: the ICM 2.0 audio/video detection engine, currently built by a third-party vendor. You will lead the knowledge transfer, take over model ownership, and drive measurable improvement in detection quality over time. 


Location: ONSITE - Sunnyvale, CA


About the Role 

You will own the detection intelligence at the heart of Signals: the ICM 2.0 audio/video detection engine, currently built by a third-party vendor. You will lead the knowledge transfer, take over model ownership, and drive measurable improvement in detection quality over time. 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Own ICM 2.0 detection models and the training, evaluation, and deployment pipeline. 
  • Lead knowledge transfer from the current vendor on the detection engine. 
  • Partner with the video/streaming backend team on model serving and inference infrastructure. 
  • Partner with the MLOps Engineer on production model deployment and monitoring. 
  • Drive measurable improvement in detection precision, recall, and latency. 


Required Qualifications 

  • 7+ years in ML engineering with production computer vision experience. 
  • Audio/video detection model expertise. 
  • Strong deep learning framework skills (PyTorch preferred). 
  • Experience productionizing models at scale. 
  • Comfort taking ownership of an existing model codebase from a third party. 


Nice to Have 

  • Security, safety, or public-space detection use cases. 
  • On-device inference or edge deployment experience. 
  • Multimodal (audio plus video) detection architectures. 


Compensation and Benefits 

Base Salary: $200,000 to $240,000 (DOE) 

Equity: Stock options 

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off 

Location Requirement: Full-time, on-site at Sunnyvale HQ
