Job Title: Senior Research Analyst

Department: Data Center Research Institute (DCRI)

Company: Vertiv

Vertiv's Data Center Research Institute researches new data center technologies and trends to advocate for their optimal application. The DCRI provides techniques, guidelines, and tools to empower customers in making effective planning decisions for their physical infrastructure investments, maximizing availability while reducing total cost of ownership (TCO).

Core responsibilities

Content development: Research, author, and maintain content - including white papers, presentations, and planning tools - that supports Vertiv’s strategic initiatives. Ensure all materials align with the corporate vision and philosophies.

Subject matter consulting: Share research findings across internal Vertiv departments. Act as a resource for external customers and partners to guide physical infrastructure decisions.

Industry presentation: Deliver team-developed content and research findings at internal company meetings and external industry events.

Required knowledge

Comprehensive knowledge of data center physical infrastructure including power, cooling, and racks.

Technical expertise in emerging, high-density power and cooling architectures, specifically including 800 VDC power architectures, AI factory cooling infrastructure, and liquid-to-chip cooling systems.

Understanding of TCO modeling, efficiency analysis, and availability metrics within critical environments.

Required skill set

Technical translation: The ability to explain complex technical topics using simple, direct language. The ideal candidate operates on the principle that thorough technical understanding enables clear, simple explanation.

Fact-based analysis: Strong commitment to objective, source-backed research. Ability to evaluate technologies using factual data rather than hyperbolic or marketing-driven language.

Strategic alignment: Capability to map deep technical research directly to broader business initiatives and customer challenges.
