Why this is an exciting opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Senior Test Analyst to join our myhub Technology team. This is a hands-on role for a quality-focused professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys solving challenging testing problems. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable and secure financial solutions by leading testing activities across multiple teams and systems.
As a senior member of the team, you will drive testing strategy, champion automation-first practices, mentor QA engineers, and collaborate closely with software engineers, product teams, architects and stakeholders. You will also leverage modern AI-enabled testing practices to improve quality, efficiency and delivery outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
Test Strategy & Delivery
- Develop and execute comprehensive, risk-based testing strategies for complex projects.
- Lead end-to-end testing activities across multiple teams, systems and integrations.
- Plan, coordinate and execute system, integration, end-to-end, UAT and production verification testing.
- Validate complex Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) applications, APIs, data pipelines and user interfaces.
- Simulate real-world business processes across internal applications and third-party integrated platforms.
- Ensure testing activities align with security, compliance and regulatory requirements.
Test Automation & Quality Engineering
- Design, build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
- Create reusable automated tests for APIs, UI components and backend integrations.
- Champion an "Automation First, Manual Only If Needed" approach.
- Integrate AI-driven testing techniques to improve coverage, traceability and efficiency.
- Perform functional and non-functional testing, including performance and reliability validation.
- Monitor and reduce technical debt within testing frameworks and processes.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Collaborate closely with developers, architects, product managers and business analysts to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Mentor and support QA engineers through coaching, knowledge sharing and best practice guidance.
- Facilitate collaborative testing initiatives and quality assurance workshops.
- Showcase testing outcomes and business scenarios to stakeholders and product owners.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and accountability.
Production Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Support incident investigations and root cause analysis activities.
- Monitor application quality and identify opportunities for process enhancement.
- Maintain testing documentation, frameworks and knowledge repositories.
- Drive ongoing improvements to testing methodologies, tools and practices.
What you bring

Experience & Skills
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong experience in software testing and quality assurance within complex enterprise environments.
- Proven experience designing and implementing automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with API testing, integration testing and UI testing.
- Strong understanding of test planning, test case design, execution and defect management.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or TypeScript.
- Strong SQL skills and experience validating data within relational databases including Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience working with non-relational databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated experience working with cloud-based architectures and integration platforms.
Desirable
- ISTQB Certification or equivalent qualification.
- Experience within Financial Services, Wealth Management or FinTech environments.
- Experience testing microservices architectures and distributed systems.
- Experience with performance and non-functional testing.
- Knowledge of security testing principles and financial industry compliance requirements.
- Experience applying AI-enabled testing capabilities and tools.
