Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever. * Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-availability data platforms and data pipelines to support analytics and data-driven applications * Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, product teams, and software engineers to translate business requirements into robust and reusable data solutions * Own data modeling and data architecture design to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and long-term maintainability * Develop and optimize both batch and real-time (streaming) data processing pipelines to improve performance and system stability * Ensure data quality, data governance, and data security through monitoring, validation, and anomaly detection mechanisms * Continuously improve existing data pipelines and platforms through performance tuning, cost optimization, and technical debt reduction * Participate in technology selection for data platforms and tools (e.g., databases, cloud services, data processing frameworks) and promote engineering best practices * Create and maintain technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and long-term system sustainability * Mentor and support junior data engineers, contributing to the overall technical growth and engineering excellence of the team * Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and big data, and evaluate their potential adoption and business value Responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Strong desire to grow a career as a Data Scientist in highly automated industrial manufacturing doing analysis and machine learning on terabytes and petabytes of diverse datasets. * Experience in the areas: statistical modeling, feature extraction and analysis, supervised/unsupervised/semi-supervised learning. Exposure to the semiconductor industry is a plus but not a requirement. * Ability to extract data from different databases via SQL and other query languages and applying data cleansing, outlier identification, and missing data techniques. * Strong software development skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Experience with or desire to learn: * Machine learning and other advanced analytical methods * Fluency in Python and SQL * GCP and/or another SQL databases * Experience with or desire to learn Google Cloud Vertex AI, AI/ML pipeline development, LLM applications, AI agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and skill/tool orchestration frameworks for enterprise AI solutions. * Experience working with time-series data, images, semi-supervised learning, and data with frequently changing distributions is a plus AI Relevant Job Responsibilities: \- Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements. \- Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work. \- Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business ​Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. * Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role. * Proficiency in SQL, Python and database management. * Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. * Familiarity with Agile methodology and tools such as JIRA, Git, Bitbucket, and Confluence. Preferred Qualifications: * 6+ years' of experience in developing, delivering, and/or supporting data engineering and advanced analytics solutions. * Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. * Proficient in Python scripting with working knowledge of APIs. * Good to have experience on Data Migration Project * Knowledge of web development frameworks (Angular, .NET Core) is a plus. * Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is a plus.
