How will you fit in the big picture?

The Supply Chain Data & Analytics team is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to help build the next generation of data-driven applications and digital products supporting Hershey's end-to-end supply chain.
 
This role goes beyond traditional reporting and dashboard development. You will partner with Product Managers, supply chain teams, data engineers, and data scientists to transform business challenges into intuitive, scalable applications that improve decision-making and operational execution across planning, manufacturing, transportation, inventory, procurement, forecasting, and other critical supply chain processes.
 
The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who enjoys building products, solving complex business problems through technology, and creating user experiences that help people move from insight to action.

What will you do?

  • Design, develop, and deploy modern data-driven applications using Python, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Build intuitive user experiences that transform complex data into actionable workflows and decision-support tools.
  • Develop reusable application components and maintain clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Integrate front-end applications with APIs, databases, enterprise data sources, and Python services.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and business stakeholders to translate operational challenges into software solutions.
  • Rapidly prototype new ideas and evolve successful concepts into production-ready products.
  • Support applications throughout the full software-development lifecycle, including testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and development best practices.
  • Partner with data engineering teams to leverage trusted enterprise datasets.
  • Develop solutions using modern analytics platforms such as Databricks and Streamlit.
  • Explore emerging technologies, including AI-enabled applications, advanced analytics, and automation capabilities.

Minimum Education & Requirements

Experience:
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant professional experience consistent with a Senior Associate Manager-level role.

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a demonstrated passion for building products.
  • Experience with SQL, APIs, data integration, Databricks, Streamlit, Spark/PySpark, cloud data platforms, CI/CD, AI/ML, forecasting, or supply chain analytics is preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Analytics, or a related technical discipline preferred. Equivalent hands-on software-development experience will also be considered.
