We are seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to help architect and build the data platform and backend services for our healthcare SaaS solutions. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring deep expertise in database and data architecture, cloud-native backend development, scalability, security, and healthcare interoperability.
The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering skills with the ability to design secure, high-performance data architectures for large-scale, multi-tenant applications handling sensitive healthcare data.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop scalable backend services and data platforms for multi-tenant SaaS applications.
- Design and optimize relational and non-relational database architectures, data models, and storage strategies.
- Build scalable data ingestion, integration, and processing capabilities for large and complex healthcare datasets.
- Design cloud-native data architectures incorporating databases, data lakes/lakehouses, and distributed data platforms.
- Develop APIs and integration capabilities supporting healthcare interoperability, including HL7 and FHIR.
- Ensure appropriate architecture for security, encryption, access control, auditability, data governance, retention, and regulatory compliance.
- Design for high availability, disaster recovery, performance, and scalability.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance while remaining hands-on with design and development.
- Collaborate with Software Engineering, Product, Security, Quality, and Regulatory teams.
