The Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team at Intuit is responsible for company-wide financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis. As the central planning group for the company, Corporate FP&A plays a unique and critical role in driving business decisions and optimizing financial outcomes. Corporate FP&A determines and communicates financial goals and targets to each of Intuit’s business segments, then consolidates and monitors financial performance against those goals to ensure that Intuit is reaching its objectives. The group is also charged with developing presentations to the CEO, CFO and Board of Directors regarding company financial performance.
Reporting to a Finance Manager, this Principal Financial Analyst will help develop our 3 and 1 year planning process and forecasts. The ideal candidate will need to have excellent communication and influencing skills, experience in modeling, and strong storytelling skills.
Responsibilities
- Support 3 and 1 year planning across the company
- Provide clear guidance on deliverables to cross functional teams throughout the planning process
- Help model bottoms up plans by business unit by identifying and modeling out key drivers of growth
- Walk executive leadership through our 3 and 1 year thought process with the ability to answer questions on the spot and push on thinking live
- Create a cohesive deck and narrative on our financial plans and overall strategy that is ultimately presented to our board of directors for approval of our 3 and 1 year plans
Qualifications
- 7+ years in FP&A roles; experience with software, SaaS, or subscription-based businesses strongly preferred
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to shape decisions, behaviors, and business outcomes across all levels of leadership
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to translate business results into insight and consumable narratives for executive audiences (e.g. presentations, dashboards, etc.)
- Deep experience deriving data-driven insights from analysis, formulating those insights into concise storylines, and delivering presentations to senior executives to influence decision making
- Additional experience leading strategic or business performance initiatives and/or organizational change initiatives as a part of prior responsibilities
- Self-starter with a desire to quickly learn and excel; willing and able to initiate, manage, and execute projects to influence and drive decisions with minimal supervision
- Trusted business partner who delivers operational excellence by understanding the needs of the business and identifying opportunities to improve financial results
- Solutions oriented, with track record of identifying and implementing creative solutions
- Ability to work independently, deal with ambiguity, operate in a cross-functional matrixed organization, and meet deadlines in a high-growth environment focused on driving business results
