The Details

  • Internship Program Timing: May 25 - July 30, 2027 

  • 40 hours each week with a mix of in-office and remote working days

  • Project-based work

  • Market competitive hourly compensation and a sign-on bonus, as well as financial housing assistance for those who qualify

  • Successful interns will have the opportunity to return to Ally in an Early Talent Program or full-time role, or to a second internship, depending upon graduation timing.

  • Alternate Lending (Detroit, MI) - Oversees alternative lending strategies, including application pass-through programs and forward flow partnerships with auto originators. These solutions help dealers expand credit access for consumers while supporting and diversifying Ally’s origination channels. Leveraging data analytics, strategic planning, and relationship management, the team drives profitable revenue growth.

The Qualifications We're Looking For

Required qualifications.

  • Program Eligibility: Must be graduating between December 2027 and May 2029

  • Rising Junior or Senior (during the time of internship) in a full-time undergraduate program.

  • Available for the full duration of the internship program.

  • Eligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship from the company now or in the future.

Preferred qualifications.

  • Preferred majors include: Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Information Sciences, and Statistics.

  • Prior experience with SQL, Power BI and Python is a plus. 

  • Ability to collect, manage and analyze data to solve problems and drive strategies across the Auto organization.

  • Data-centric, collaborative and curious individuals with a high-level of emotional intelligence, adaptability and influencing skills who are eager to learn.

  • Extracurricular activities/leadership experience is preferred (student organizations, volunteering, sports, part-time roles, etc.).
