- Proven experience (7+ years) in AI, data governance, data management, or IT compliance, preferably within a large enterprise environment
- Knowledge about AI/ML governance, model risk management, or responsible AI programs
- Proficiency in navigating international AI and data privacy regulations, standards, and emerging legislative requirements
- Ability to craft clear governance guidelines, policy documents, and playbooks consumable by both engineers and business stakeholders
- Hands-on experience governing data and AI solutions in corporate environments and operationalization in technical teams
Preferred experience
- Understanding of data and AI platforms, familiarity with GenAI architectures (RAG, LLM APIs, AI agents) is a plus

Define control mechanisms, review processes and KPIs for data and AI quality and compliance.
Enable self‑service governance via tooling, automation and clear guidance/playbooks.
Ensure consistent governance implementation across KION’s Analytics, AI and GenAI platforms.
Collaborate closely with Data Protection, Legal & Compliance, IT Security and Works Council to ensure alignment with global laws and internal policies.
Lead, coach and develop the global team of platform and governance experts.
What we are looking for:

Structured, independent, and analytical way of working, as well as a high willingness to learn
Mindset of a governance enabler: Experiences in driving adoption of governance frameworks while preserving speed and innovation
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges
Very good knowledge of English, German is a plus.
