Introduction Welcome to Gallagher in India — where expertise, technology, and purpose come together. Since 2006, Gallagher in India has supported global teams by delivering quality, service, and speed through deep expertise, smart technology, and specialized knowledge services. More than just an operations center, it’s a place where careers grow through collaboration, continuous learning, and purposeful work. We drive efficiency, compliance, and innovation so our teams can focus on serving clients. If you enjoy solving problems and working with purpose, Gallagher is the place where you can grow and feel a sense of belonging. Overview Overview This role sits in our catastrophe modelling team. You’ll help with simple renewals and support senior colleagues on larger pieces of work. Most of your work will be short projects. You’ll get regular guidance while you build your knowledge and confidence. You’ll work with data, models, and reports that help colleagues understand catastrophe risk. This is a role where you can learn on the job, ask questions, and keep building your skills with help from experienced colleagues. How you’ll make an impact You’ll prepare model inputs using SQL and Excel, then check and edit the data so it’s ready for modelling. You’ll help analyse exposures, apply the right modelling assumptions, and make sure the model settings are correct so the results reflect the risk as closely as possible. You’ll also run proprietary models, carry out sensitivity checks, and turn outputs into clear reports. That could mean summary reports, maps, and visual views of the data using tools such as iFM, WorkFlowManager, SpatialKey, and ArcGIS. When needed, you’ll share progress with the onshore lead analyst, raise any important points, and ask for feedback so work keeps moving in the right direction. About you Here’s what you’ll bring to the role: You can work with SQL and Excel to prepare, edit, and check data. You can follow step by step guidance and learn new tasks as you go. You can spot when data or outputs don’t look right and ask questions early. You can explain progress and issues clearly to senior colleagues. You’re happy to learn from feedback and use it to improve your work. You can work well with colleagues across locations and keep people updated. A background in maths, geography, engineering, statistics, or a related subject could help, but different routes into the role are welcome. How you'll make an impact Prepare model input data using SQL and Excel. Check, clean, and edit exposure data before modelling. Geocode exposures and apply the right model and peril settings. Run WTW proprietary models for assigned analyses. Carry out sensitivity checks to see how changes in inputs affect model output. Create exposure and loss summary reports using iFM and WorkFlowManager. Build clear maps and simple visuals in SpatialKey and ArcGIS. Support simple renewals and help senior colleagues on larger projects. Share progress, raise key points, and ask for feedback from the onshore lead analyst when needed. Keep learning through research, practice, and guidance from senior colleagues. About you Qualifications: University Degree and 0-1 year prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
