Job Description

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:

Data Platform Engineering

·       Lead engineering teams responsible for enterprise data platforms, cloud-native data services, and modern data architectures.

·       Drive scalable, secure, and resilient data engineering solutions on Microsoft Azure.

·       Partner with global architecture teams to establish engineering standards, reusable frameworks, and platform best practices.

·       Ensure operational excellence, reliability, performance, and platform availability.

AI Engineering & Data Products

·       Lead engineering for AI platforms, MLOps, developer tooling, and enterprise AI enablement.

·       Deliver reusable data products, APIs, and engineering capabilities supporting analytics and AI across the firm.

·       Partner with Data Governance and MDM teams to ensure trusted, governed, high-quality data.

Technical Leadership

·       Serve as the senior technical leader for the India Data & AI Engineering organization.

·       Provide architecture guidance, code quality standards, engineering governance, and technical mentoring.

·       Champion DevSecOps, CI/CD, automation, observability, and engineering excellence.

·       Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic investments.

People Leadership

·       Build, lead, and develop a world-class Data & AI Engineering organization in India.

·       Recruit, mentor, and retain exceptional engineering talent while creating a culture of ownership, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

·       Partner with global leaders across the Americas, Europe, and Asia to deliver strategic technology initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience

·       15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, data engineering, or platform engineering.

·       Experience leading large engineering organizations within global enterprises.

·       Track record of delivering enterprise-scale cloud data platforms and engineering transformation.

Technical Expertise

·       Deep expertise in Azure, Databricks, Spark, Data Lakes, SQL, Python, data pipelines, and cloud-native engineering.

·       Strong understanding of AI engineering, MLOps, DevOps, APIs, microservices, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.

·       Experience with enterprise architecture, security, governance, and engineering best practices.

Leadership

·       Technically astute leader with credibility across engineering teams and executive stakeholders.

·       Strong communication, organizational leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

·       Passion for coaching engineers and building high-performing teams.

Education

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline required.

·       Advanced degree and Azure certifications preferred.
