About the role

We file this job under Data Leadership, by the work the posting describes.

Data leaders run data teams or design how a company's data fits together. Managers hire, set priorities and answer for whether the data work pays off; architects choose the systems and the shape of the data.

Expect years of hands-on data work, experience leading people or projects, and the ability to explain tradeoffs to executives.

Unlike a senior engineer or analyst, most of a data leader's week goes to people, planning and decisions rather than building.

Overview:

Quinnipiac University is seeking an innovative and strategic Assistant Provost for Data Strategy and Director of Institutional Effectiveness to transform how the University uses data to understand performance, inform decisions, and shape its future.

This is an opportunity to build a next-generation institutional effectiveness and data strategy function—one that moves beyond traditional reporting to deliver timely, actionable insight to leaders across the University. Reporting to the Vice President for Academic Innovation & Effectiveness, the Assistant Provost will lead an integrated enterprise of institutional research, data strategy, analytics, reporting, assessment, and decision support.

Working closely with the Vice President for Academic Innovation & Effectiveness and campus leadership, you will provide leadership for university-wide data strategy and help ensure that institutional data and evidence are aligned with Quinnipiac's strategic priorities.
