About the role

We file this job under Data Engineer, by the work the posting describes.

Data engineers build and run the pipelines that copy data out of apps and outside services into a warehouse or lake, and fix them when a source changes or a load fails.

Expect SQL, Python, a cloud platform, a scheduler such as Airflow, and often tools for large data such as Spark or Kafka.

An analytics engineer works one step later, turning the raw data a data engineer lands into clean tables people can query.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As the Business Intelligence Engineer, you'll play a key role in strengthening the data foundation that powers decisions across our businesses. Working primarily in Microsoft Fabric, you'll own and improve the pipelines, transformations, and data structures that turn raw information into reliable, actionable insights.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who thrives with independence, takes initiative, and enjoys partnering with others. Your work will help our teams make smarter decisions, support new analytics and AI capabilities, and build a data environment that's ready for what's next.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and strengthen our data foundation. Design, build, and maintain Microsoft Fabric pipelines, notebooks, Lakehouse and Warehouse solutions, and Bronze and Silver data layers using medallion architecture. Keep data flowing accurately, efficiently, and reliably.
  • Turn complex data into trusted insights. Use SQL, Python, and dimensional modeling to transform data, improve performance, and support Power BI semantic models and Gold-layer data products in partnership with Reporting & Analytics.
  • Keep our systems running strong. Proactively monitor data processes, investigate issues, resolve root causes, and maintain dependable solutions through testing, documentation, source control, and DevOps practices. Respond to early-morning alerts when needed to keep critical data moving.
  • Help shape what's next. Partner with IT, Reporting & Analytics, and business teams to improve data quality, strengthen engineering practices, and prepare trusted data for advanced analytics, automation, and AI.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven hands-on data engineering experience. 3–5 years in data engineering, BI engineering, or a related field, with the confidence to independently build, troubleshoot, and manage production data solutions. We value demonstrated ability and real-world experience over a specific degree.
  • Strong Microsoft Fabric expertise. Practical experience with Fabric pipelines, notebooks, Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, and medallion architecture, including independent ownership of Bronze and Silver layers.
  • The technical skills to solve tough problems. Advanced SQL, working proficiency in Python, experience with data transformations, dimensional modeling, Power BI, and Git-based source control or DevOps practices. Experience with Spark/PySpark, CI/CD, or AI-enabled data solutions is a plus.
  • A dependable, collaborative mindset. You take ownership, pay attention to the details, communicate clearly, and care about building solutions that last. You're comfortable working independently while staying connected to the people who rely on your work.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

You'll join a team that values integrity, looks out for one another, and gives you the trust and opportunity to make a real difference. With a flexible hybrid schedule, meaningful technical challenges, and room to grow, you'll help build something we're all proud of.
