About the role

We file this job under Analytics Engineer, by the work the posting describes.

Analytics engineers turn raw warehouse data into clean, tested and documented tables that analysts and dashboards can rely on, often with dbt.

Expect strong SQL, data modeling, Git, and a warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift.

A data engineer gets data into the warehouse; an analytics engineer shapes it once it is there and works closer to the analysts who use it.

About Us

Concord isn't your typical consulting firm; we're an execution company. We help organizations move technology and AI initiatives from concept to measurable capability, working alongside our clients from the initial definition of success through full implementation and adoption.

Our team brings expertise across artificial intelligence and data, digital experience, and platform engineering, enabling the organizations we serve to build lasting internal capability. You'll build transactional and dimensional models across core payer domains such as claims, premiums, and membership. You'll work with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to turn business requirements into well-structured models on a modern cloud data platform. This is a hands-on role, and you'll own model design from the conceptual stage through to physical implementation.

  • Build and maintain transactional (OLTP/3NF) and dimensional (star/snowflake schema) models to support operational and analytical use cases.
  • Create, manage, and version data models in Erwin Data Modeler, including forward and reverse engineering.
  • Translate business requirements from claims, finance, and operations stakeholders into model designs and data definitions.
  • Partner with data engineering teams to implement models in Snowflake and/or Databricks.
  • Maintain data dictionaries, mapping documents, and modeling standards.
  • Review existing models and recommend improvements for performance, consistency, and scalability

What We Are Looking For

  • 7+ years of data modeling experience across both transactional and dimensional modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with Erwin Data Modeler is a must.
  • Exposure to Snowflake and/or Databricks.
  • Strong understanding of normalization, star and snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, and fact/dimension design
  • Experience modeling data for a health insurance payer organization.
  • Functional knowledge of claims and/or premium data (strong plus).
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders to define requirements

What We Offer (W2 Benefits)

  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Comprehensive coverage to support your well-being.
  • Employer Contributions to Health Savings Accounts (HSA): Helping you save for medical expenses.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA): Options for healthcare and dependent care expenses, plus a $200 Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA).
  • Disability Insurance: Short- and long-term coverage, fully paid by the employer.
